Ten Commandments

THEME: Finance, Credit Cards

During an emphasis on Finance our church utilized one of our acting couples. In reality, they are married and we used their real names. But in drama that is not necessary as long as the same two people are used. We often bring Chris and Nicole back to continue their saga. These are three of the dramas we wrote for them but we also used others we purchased to augment their story.

BORROW CONSTRICTOR

SYNOPSIS: Chris is in the locker room of the gym talking with his friend. He can't quite figure out why it is that his wife, Nicole, wasn't thrilled with the diamond earrings he gave her for Christmas or why she gets so upset every time he gives her an expensive gift. Could it be he hasn't a handle on credit card expenditures?

PLASTIC SURGERY

SYNOPSIS: Nicole is upset with the credit card charges and can't seem to make Chris understand that cutting up just one of his is not making a dent in their debt. Exasperated, they both take a nap and have the same dream: THE DREAM: (Videotaped in a local doctor's office, very tongue-in-cheek) Nicole is in surgery having her debt physically extracted from her. They both awaken from their nightmare and finally get the picture, and the scissors.

ADVERSITY

SYNOPSIS: Even when Chris and Nicole try to follow Biblical principles, sometimes bad things happen. Staying out of debt and in faith in harder than it sounds. This snippet ends straight into the message that, hopefully, answers the questions of what happens when bad things happen to Godly people? God doesn't promise smooth sailing but He does promise a life jacket.
