Conference of
Texas
Baptist Evangelist Elect New Officers
FAIRFIELD,
TX –February 3, 2007 – The Conference of
Texas Baptist Evangelist (COTBE) announces the election of new
officers. The 2007 officers are, Marion Warren President of
Euless
Texas, Paul Cherry Vice President of Wolfe
City, Gary Newman Secretary/Treasurer of Garland,
Sam Craig Music Director of Houston
and Ricky Davis Assistant Music Director of
Lufkin.
“I am honored to be president of COTBE,” says Marion Warren, a
Euless
based evangelist. “This is a valuable fellowship of evangelists.
I am a changed person because of my relationship with them. My
gifts are enhanced and my field of ministry is enlarged. My
knowledge and skills are also improved and my spiritual depth is
more established.”
The Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelists is a fellowship
of individuals called by God into evangelistic ministry.
Individuals, husband and wife teams and families serving together in
the ministry of evangelism, as well as evangelistic teams, are all
represented among the membership. All those whom God has called into
a vocational evangelism are warmly welcomed.
The Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelist are people who dedicate
their lives to carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Texas and to the world.
They help organize and assist communities and churches in organizing
Revivals, Concerts, Bible Conferences and Outreaches in local venues
such as rodeo arenas and Football Stadiums.
Warren
says COTBE has much to offer Texas Churches.
“Since its inception The Conference of Texas Baptist
Evangelist has been serving Texas churches and beyond,” according to Warren.
They are called and gifted servants of God that continue to
challenge me to be a better person and a much better servant of
Jesus.”
Many Texas
evangelists are involved in missions in
such places as Belize
and in the jungles of South America.
Member evangelist Rick Ingle donates much of his time helping and
encouraging mission churches in Minnesota, Wisconsin and
Massachusetts.
Sam Craig leads mission trips to Panama and Ronnie Hill provides
ministry at NASCAR events, Sturgis Bike Week and n such countries as Nicaragua. Some
have more than one type of ministry (i.e., music and ventriloquism),
but each is supportive of the local church.
Warren
provides this postscript, “The church that does not use a God called
evangelist is missing
one of the enormous gifts of God to HIS church.”
