Deep East Texas Association of Builders to Host 2008 East Texas Parade of Homes ^tm

Deep East Texas Association of Builders (DETAB) will host the annual Parade of Homes ^tm August 2-3 and 9-10, 2008.  The weekend events will feature newly constructed homes available for sale from some of the best builders in East Texas. Parade homes this year are located in Nacogdoches, Angelina and Trinity counties.

“We have some very fine homes ready to display for this year’s parade,” says Jack Greene, Parade Chairman, “For a builder to qualify to participate, they must be members of DETAB, completed the home and not sold the home yet. We’ve had a couple of our fine builders that are unable to show their home because someone bought it before the parade begins.  This is a good problem to have!”

Homes featured are in all price categories and include a wide range of amenities, building materials and features. Each home will have experts available to answer your questions and beautiful interiors to excite the imagination.

This year’s parade will not have an admission charge like in past years according to Greene.  “We felt that this will entice more people to come out and experience the entire parade.”   

Melvin Linton, DETAB President says that conditions remain favorable for positive growth in the East Texas housing market. Linton adds, “But with any fast growing area, the buyers market won’t last forever. Texas, and East Texas specifically are expected to grow well beyond national standards and this growth means that when housing inventories are depleted, pricing flexibility and incentives are eliminated. So right now, you have an opportunity that may not come around again for awhile!”

 There are many reasons for people to visit this years Parade:

·                  If you’re looking for a new home, this is the best way to see the newest of the new.

·                  If you’re renting with the idea that you can’t afford a home, you should take a look. With the wide range of incentives now available, chances are you will find a home you love and can afford!
