"REVOLT: A Mandate to Restore the Constitution"
Preface
What interest could an anarchist possibly have in restoring law and order? Aren’t anarchists all about chaos and destruction? Well I guess it depends on what you think anarchy is. Today those in the Statist camp seem to believe that anything short of an all-powerful nanny state, dictating your every move and counting your calories and trans fats, would see us devolve into a state of absolute and pure chaos. They ominously assure the people that the restraining and protective hand of government is all that stands between civilized order and a state of complete anarchy.
Well, if being allowed to choose what I eat or what I say, where I buy my health insurance, and where I put my charitable contributions, is anarchy; sign me up!
Alas, to the disappointment of my critics, I will not be invited into any anarchist groups since I do not believe in zero government. I could more accurately be described as a ‘minarchist’ since I believe in minimal government. ‘Anarchist’ is just one of the more genteel labels I’ve received since joining a relentless campaign to end governmental encroachment of our liberties. I prefer this label to others for a couple of reasons. First, it’s not a four-letter word. Second, there are some examples of anarchist experiments that make the accusation less of an insult than a signal that I am moving in the right direction. . .
